SPRING 2018 – Childrens’ Cookery Workshops

* Haggis Croquettes and a Raspberry CranachanTHEME: Burns NightWe wanted to kick start the term by celebrating Burns Night. If you have never tried Haggis – this will be a gentle introduction as we will be making tasty Haggis Croquettes, followed by a classic dessert, Cranachan which is very moorish. * Bunny ChowTHEME: Exploring FlavoursThis warming dish originates from South Africa. It is a flavourful curry which is traditionally served in a hollowed out loaf of bread…making it a delicious fast food. Saturday, 3rd February HEARTLANDS (TR15 3QY)
* Design Your Own Gingerbread FamilyTHEME: Bake OffAs a special half-term treat, come along and create your own Gingerbread family from scratch & then decorate them. Sunday, 11th February HEARTLANDS (TR15 3QY)
* George’s Marvellous Medicine Chicken SoupTHEME: World Book DayWorld Book Day is a much loved day in the school calendar, and we didn’t want to miss out celebrating it. Please feel free to bring your favourite book to the workshop and/or dress up as your favourite book character. Saturday, 24th February HEARTLANDS (TR15 3QY)
* Ploughman’s Cheesy SconesTHEME: Mothering SundayThese scrumptious savoury scones are perfect to share as an afternoon treat on Mother’s Day. To be served with Trewithen butter, Cornish cheeses, sliced apple & chutney. Saturday, 10th March HEARTLANDS (TR15 3QY)
* Profiteroles with Chocolate SauceTHEME: EasterThese indulgent Profiteroles will make an irresitable Easter treat or a special Easter dinner dessert for family and friends. Saturday, 24thMarch HEARTLANDS (TR15 3QY)

ALLERGIES: If your child has a food allergy or is vegetarian, AND would like to cook with us, please contact us for more information! We always do our best to offer alternative ingredients, where possible.

WHAT IS INCLUDED AT EACH WORKSHOP:  ingredients, aprons & chef hats, takeaway boxes, recipe sheets, arts/craft materials (for whilst the goodies cook).

LOCATION: Heartlands (TR15 3QY).

LENGTH: (aprox.) 90-120 mins (we take classes at the childrens’ pace)

START TIME: 9.45am

AGE GROUPS: 2 to 11 years

GROUP SIZE: 12 children (children aged 7 or less must be accompanied with an adult)

***BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS*** We kindly ask any attendees to inform us of any illness, cuts/sores and allergens. 
Unfortunately, anyone who has been suffering from diahroea and/or vomiting within 48 hours of a cookery workshop, we kindly ask to refrain from cooking.
Although unlikely, we do reserve the right to cancel a course or workshop due to circumstances beyond our control. 
If this occurs we will credit your course/cookery workshop or offer a suitable alternative course/ workshop to the same value.
