“Love love love Little Kitchen Magicians. Whether you cook at home or use ready meals, this is a MUST for all children. So much fun, Lizzie does more than show children how to cook and bake, children will learning the food process from seed to creating flour to make hot cross buns, our 6 year old LOVED IT, thank you :-) xxx”

Two Awesome Days…

Lisa, Cornwall Children's University - July 2015

“Two awesome days with Lizzie.

Day one: Cooking our ‘catch’ on Newlyn Pier after fishing with Angling School CIC. The event got off to a great start with glorious sunshine over Mounts Bay. All the families that took part had a great time! Amazing that every child had a go at preparing the fish and pretty much everyone of them tasted it and loved it! That was a massive success.

Day two: at Heartlands making summer fruit tarts. Again lots of kids trying foods they’d never eaten before. So much fun seeing everyone enjoying themselves. Loads of lovely comments, too. Doing your bit to get families into delicious food that is good for the body and especially good for the soul. Cooking, eating and chatting – could not have been better! Thank you, Lizzie.”

End Result Was Yummy…

Able to engage all learners…

Headteacher, Troon CP School - March 2015

“Lizzie has a wonderful approach with all members of the school community and is able to engage all learners enthusiastically and effectively. Sessions are always well prepared and expertly organised ensuring high levels of participation. The children developed new techniques and skills and were always keen to try the meals that they had made. Lizzie took responsibility for planning the recipes, buying the ingredients and organising all equipment so there was no extra work for school staff! I would highly recommend Little Kitchen Magicians to any school – the sessions encourage better understanding of healthy choices, teach children basic cooking skills and most importantly everyone has fun!”

“Had an amazing morning yesterday at Pennoweth school with Lizzie helping the children to make Tex-Mex food. Loads of them tried new flavours, had a real hands on chance to cook exciting recipes and loved every minute of it. Thanks for providing such a fantastic experience for our pupils (and staff!).”

Pre-School’s View on Little Kitchen Magicians

Manager, Smiling Faces PreSchool, Falmouth - Oct.2014

“We were impressed with the fact that Lizzie was keen to promote healthy eating and portion sizes for children, which is important to us as a setting in maintaining our Nippers nutrition level 5.

Lizzie has a flexible approach and was more than willing to work with us demonstrating Nippers recipes, her friendly gentle nature and realistic expectations of the children allow them to engage in the cooking sessions with a little support from their parents, so they really are making the food and not just participating.”

Here are a few sentences of how parents have reacted to the sessions:
Parents have been really pleased with the workshops so far and feel that it has given them the opportunity to see how their child interacts at pre-school and the chance to experience some cooking with them. They have highlighted in their feedback that it has been great in teaching their children more about food, where it comes from, how it looks and feels and how we prepare and cook it. They have all expressed an interest in the workshops and hope that they may have the opportunity for this again.
